Jim L. García

Jim L. García has over 40 years of experience in the practice of law. Jim’s clients include U.S. and foreign companies from Mexico, Venezuela, and other Central and Latin American countries. His clients represent various industries, such as manufacturing, oil and gas, engineering, real estate, meat packing and the food and beverage industry. For these clients, Jim negotiates and drafts contracts, creates and organizes business entities (e.g., limited liability companies [LLC], corporations, and limited partnerships), drafts documents for corporate by-laws, corporate buy-outs and sales of assets, real estate, and other areas of general corporate matters.

Jim assists his clients with employment law matters, guidance on best practices, defense of discrimination claims filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and defense of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations. Additionally, Jim registers marks to identify his client’s goods and services (trademarks) with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
